The Artois Championships

Monday 9th - Sunday 15th June

The Artois Championships annually attract many of the world's top ranking male players to the The Queen's Club, London. Held in the run up to Wimbledon it is consistently supported by the cream of men's singles and doubles players.

I love that we get some great grass tennis before Wimbledon. Its a good time to shake off a French loss or in some cases, carry the big Mo forward. Looking at our favorite players, Roger, Rafa and Andy all advance...Anyone surprised?

Détruit

6-1. 6-3. 6-0. When it was all said and done, Roger Federer found himself in a familiar spot--playing second fiddle to 4-time French Open champion, Rafael Nadal. Not only did Roger have to suffer through another defeat at Roland Garros, but his lose was so lopsided, Nadal apologized to his rival.

One of the reasons my interest for tennis grew was becuase of this rivarly. Their passion for the game is extraordinary and they are without a doubt, the two best players in the world. On has to wonder if Roger gets his revenge on grass at Wimbledon, or does he get détruit again in jolly old England by the Nadal juggernaut?

Update:

In case you didn't know, Rafa walked away with a cool 1M Euros after his French Open victory. For those of us in the states, that a cool 1.56M clams. It's amazing how weak the greenback is these days.

Welcome to Tennis Bagel

Over the past few years, I've become a huge fan of Tennis. Having grown up in rural South Carolina where basketball or football were the sports of choice, I've found tennis to be just as entertaining and thrilling.
It's becuase of this, I've decided to launch Tennis Bagel. Be it the clay at Roland Garros or Andy's pending nuptials, I'll try to cover it all. It's a great time to be a tennis fan, so why can't a man have his bagel and eat it too.
I hope y'all enjoy!

Best,

Frank
